I started my time at the park with a stop at La alaja for a little lunch. As we see below, they are Pet Friendly.
I entered the park at the Yellow Gate, which is kind of like the side entrance. The main entrance being the Red Gate.
Built in 1990, the park is enjoying it's 25 anniversary this year! Getting better all the time.
So, so much to do.
It's really just a pleasant place to wander around.
My crew for the day. A classmate, another American, a couple of Mexicans, a Canadian, and an Australian who was just starting the course I had just finished and a fellow Couchsurfer! A diverse and fun bunch for sure.
One way to see the park is by train, leaving the "station" about every 30 minutes.
Or...
Ride a bike!
Probably obvious, but this is my preferred way to tour the grounds. Take one out for a 30 minute joy ride or take your time with a day pass and relax.
We chose an hour long rental, plenty of time to do a few circuits of the park and admire the site.
I didn't take advantage of it, but there is massage service available after you've pushed yourself to the limit.
Maybe a relaxing afternoon hanging out with the pup at the dog park sounds more your speed. A veterinarian clinic and supply store is right next door! And don't forget to grab a bite with your pooch at the restaurant featured above. Pet Friendly!
Maybe you'd like to show off your BMX tricks at the skills course.
You can always leisurely stroll along the paths, running into various sculptures commissioned from a local artist to celebrate different athletic events.
It seems this bounce house obstacle course contraption gets switched out every now and then to give the kiddies a new challenge to look forward to. And Minions really have taken over the world.
Of course, there's nothing wrong spending the day having a picnic with your friends and family, even better if it's under the Macho Tree, no?
