Couchsurfers at Centro Cultural Breton

Another week, another Thursday Couchsurfing meet-up. This one was at the fabulous Centro Cultural Breton, near the Cathedral, but hidden away on a quiet street.

Your maitr'd shall seat you momentarily.

A few great acts accompanied our meet-up. Rock and blues well represented.
The view from the balcony.

Party people, enjoying some tasty beverages.

The blond lady my classmates are talking to is Laine, a woman who is traveling through the Americas by hitchhiking with her friend, the gentleman sitting behind her who's name escapes me. You can follow along with her travels at their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pasaule/
I always enjoy reading stories of other travelers choosing a different path than the traditional work, work, work society expects from us.

Our barman was moving fast, couldn't get a clear picture of him. Breton has a good collection of beers and spirits from around the world, along with a menu suggesting some of their favorite food pairings. (For fries, they recommend a Pilsner from Tiajuana.)

On our walk to the bar, we happened upon a book fair set up in one of the covered sidewalks near the Cathedral.
So, so many books. It's really hard not to spend all my money on literature while I'm here.

Right across the street from the book fair, a cat was enjoying a cool night at the Rotunda of Illustrious Jaliscans, protected from the people trying to pet it, but not from the people trying to annoy it with bright flashes for pictures.
