Monster Ronson's Ichiban Karaoke

Karaoke. A dividing line among friends. Some love the public displays of disaster, others avoid it with every fiber of their being.

I am solidly in the former category.

I am proud to say that I have now sung karaoke in every country I have visited. It's a goal I didn't know I had until now, but it is a goal that will carry me, and perhaps this blog, forward.

Located a 5 min walk from the S5 and S7, directly across the street from the U12 and M10 at Warschauer Straße 34, Monster Ronson's Ichiban Karaoke is a super easy to get to, right next to a library(!), and a wonder to behold once you walk inside.

This was another event found through Couchsurfing, though lighting may be difficult, you can just make out our host peeking through the window of Divine.

There are rules, this ain't 'Nam!
There are 8 rooms for groups up to 6: JIMI (Hendrix), KURT (Cobain), SID (Vicious), DIVINE, FREDDIE (Mercury), AMY (Winehouse), WHITNEY (Houston), and MICHAEL (Jackson).

And 2 rooms for your party-parties: ELVIS (Presley) and JANIS (Joplin).

Don't feel like singing, but enjoy the spectacle of people making fools of themselves? Belly up to the spacious bar, with ample seating and room to mingle.

Nothing about this place isn't wonderful.

After 3 hours of belting it out to Bon Jovie, Adele, Little Mermaid, Johnny Cash, Journey, plus many, many more, our tired voices head out for tea and a well deserved rest.
